Verdir at Hermann Park does not operate a private resident shuttle. Most residents drive, and the commute is short enough that many bike or take the METRORail Red Line, which runs the length of the Texas Medical Center. Once you are on campus, the Texas Medical Center operates its own free intercampus circulator between buildings and garages for employees and students.

Contact the leasing office and we will walk through the commute from your specific building.

Most Verdir residents drive to the Texas Medical Center in under 15 minutes. The METRORail Red Line serves the Medical Center with stations including Memorial Hermann Hospital/Houston Zoo, Dryden/TMC, TMC Transit Center, and Smith Lands.

Residents who prefer to bike can use the Brays Bayou hike and bike trail and the Hermann Park trail network, which connect the community toward the Medical Center without heavy street traffic. For overnight shifts, the community's under-building parking with direct elevator access means you are not walking across an open lot at 3 a.m.

Verdir at Hermann Park participates in a Preferred Employer Program, which offers benefits to employees of participating companies and institutions, including many in the Texas Medical Center. Ask the leasing office whether your hospital, school, or employer is on the list before you apply, and bring an employee ID or offer letter.

The neighborhood: Life outside the hospital

Verdir sits in the MacGregor and Riverside Terrace area, an established residential pocket of live oaks and older homes along the bayou, directly south of Hermann Park. It is quieter than the high-rise corridors closer to the Medical Center while still being minutes from the Museum District, Rice Village, Midtown dining, and NRG Park.

Hermann Park alone covers most weekends: the Houston Zoo, Miller Outdoor Theatre, the Japanese Garden, McGovern Centennial Gardens, the Hermann Park Golf Course, and paddle boats on McGovern Lake. Just north, the Museum District holds the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Menil Collection, and the Contemporary Arts Museum.

For running and cycling, the Brays Bayou Greenway trail runs right past the community and connects into Houston's wider bayou trail system.

Downtown Houston is roughly 4 miles north of Verdir at Hermann Park. William P. Hobby Airport is about 10 miles southeast, and George Bush Intercontinental Airport is roughly 25 to 30 miles north. NRG Park and NRG Stadium are about 3 miles southwest.

Highway 288, Loop 610, and I-69 are all within a few minutes of the community, which puts the Medical Center, downtown, the Galleria, and Pearland within an easy drive. View the map and directions.
